Seth Pirith is a form of Buddhist chanting deeply rooted in Therav?da tradition, especially significant in Sri Lanka. The term "Pirith" derives from the Pali word "Paritta," meaning "protection" or "safeguard." These chants are recitations of specific suttas (discourses) from the Pali Canon, believed to confer blessings and protection upon listeners.
